Recipe

To prepare the product, you will need regular fabric softener (conditioner). Many motorists use Vernel and Lenor. But any other will do.

The recipe includes:

• 1 cap of rinse aid (50 ml);
• 3 liters of distilled water.

Before use, the composition must be stirred well. You can pour it into an empty bottle and shake it.

How to use?

The composition can be applied to car windows (including side windows) using a spray bottle.But it is much easier to pour it into the washer reservoir.

Instructions:

1. Empty and rinse the tank.
2. Fill with freshly prepared mixture (see recipe above).
3. Wash and dry the windshield.
4. Spray it with nozzles 2-3 times.
5. Wipe with a dry cloth.

When applying rinse aid to clean, grease-free glass, the effect of repelling droplets is much higher. Then you can use the washer as usual.

Flaws

To be fair, homemade “anti-rain” is not without its drawbacks. It has at least three disadvantages:

• Washed away by rain. After about half an hour of heavy rain, droplets begin to stick to the windshield again. It is necessary to periodically update the “anti-rain”.
• Matte film. After spraying with nozzles and passing the wipers for 2 seconds, a film forms on the glass. Then she disappears.
• Cannot be used in winter. The air conditioner freezes just like the water. Therefore, in the cold season, you will have to pour something else into the washer reservoir.

So, a homemade “anti-rain” is somewhat inferior in effectiveness to a purchased one. Its main advantage is its relatively low cost. In addition, fabric softener can also be used to wash the car body and dashboard. They will shine and repel dirt and dust.
